I am setting up my new MacBook Pro 14" and a software glitch is stuck on adding a card to ApplePay. It gets to the terms and conditions accept or decline window but won't let me click either. It has locked the pop up window and won't let me exit to finish the set up. Normally I'd restart the computer but it's in set up mode and not finished. help please
The setting that indicates Apple Setup Done is not set until the END of the process, so if you Restart, it will enter Setup again at the beginning.
If you have spent only a few minutes of your time in Setup Assistant, feel free to restart your Mac and try again.

Same problem with initial setup on 2021 MacBook pro 16" - wedged adding card - can neither accept nor decline the terms -
can't go 'back' either.
had to hold the power button down to reset and reboot...
Not a very good start.
Last thing we need is another "yes I have that same problem"; but just to add; I ran into this in my new MacBook Pro 14" setup. First 2 cards were added but the 3rd card was not and it hung and clicking the decline or accept option did nothing.
As per the previous users, had to restart by pressing and holding the "on/off" button and when loaded, went straight into the desktop view.
Not sure if I missed any setup option activities. Does anyone know how to get back to the set-up from here?
I’ve had the exact same issue on my new 16” MacBook Pro. Added 2 cards to Apple Pay successfully but then stalled on the third and last card.
i couldn’t accept or decline, and was just greeted with a “boing” sound.
not a good start Apple! Had to hold down power button to reboot!
Have you restarted and tried again from scratch as suggested?

I meant that there was no way forward, nor backward.
Had seemingly successfully added 3 cards, but on the 4th, I was able to neither accept, nor decline the terms.
Keyboard and mouse all still working, but the accept/decline buttons were non-operational. Just have a little 'bong' sound each time clicked (also tried keyboard/enter). Had to hold power button down.
Is initial MacBook Pro setup frozen or setting up ApplePlay after logging in is frozen?
You seem to be saying the initial setup has frozen, but I've never set up ApplePay so I'm unfamiliar with doing that at any point.
What does "wedged adding card" mean?
p.s. yes I did scroll down to the bottom...
Restarting goes straight to the desktop screen view. How do I go back to run set up again?
