LogMeIn and Hamachi on the M1 running Big Sur

We are trying to install LogMeIn to remotely manage our client's MacBook on the M1 chip running Big Sur 11.6. It seems that the MacBook does not stay running while we are connected. On windows, the LogMeIn connection keeps the computer from going to sleep. The MAC seems to go to some sort of "sleep" mode after a time and we get disconnected. We also are trying to install Hamachi to allow file sharing between a MAC and windows VM in the cloud and other windows computers. LogMeIn and Hamachi seem to run well on the older MACs but the new M1 is proving to be an issue. If anyone has successfully set this up I would appreciate any help you could offer.
