5101F?

Max osX

new (used) macbook pro 2016. Trying to start . I receive error on screen saying apple.com/support -5101F- Any one here knows what this means?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, you have a used MacBook Pro that won't start up. You see error, 'apple.com/support -5101F. We'll do our best to assist.


It sounds like when you boot up, it's trying to boot to Internet recovery. Do you see a globe spinning on the screen as it starts up?


This may be helpful: If your Mac doesn't start up all the way


If the above isn't the case, has it ever started up successfully since you've purchased it? Was this purchased through a Reseller or a third-party?


Have you run diagnostics, prior to this post? If so, what were those results?
