The Apple SuperDrive will work with your 2020 iMac, IF you connect it directly to the computer and not through a hub or dock. As for the price, that's for you to decide.

You should, however, check the optical drive offerings at macsales.com before you buy. Compatibility is guaranteed and a warranty should be included.

Most drives will work but may need a USB-A to USB-C adapter. I have 4 drives all different brands (including Apple Super Drive) and they all work fine.
