My superdrive is not recognized by Mac Pro. What do I need to do ?

The drive itself (with no disc inserted) will not be shown on the desktop -- only Mounted volumes are shown there (drive with readable, Mounted Disc inserted).
The Apple USB superdrive requires 900 MilliAmps power. That is more than a typical USB port can provide.
menu > About this Mac > (System report) > USB ...
will show you the Bid and Asked power
menu > About this Mac > (System report) > Disc Burning ...
... will provide details about the drive's capabilities.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
We understand that your SuperDrive is not being recognized by your Mac. Restart your Mac. Try using a different port. Make sure you have "CDs, DVDs, and iPods" checked in Finder Preferences > General tab for the disk to show on the desktop.
