Very Poor HomePod mini sound quality

I observe that using HomePod mini as a sound output over Airplay while streaming

media content such as Apple purchased movies/tv shows, from MacBook Pro

to result in shockingly bad audio quality.

Apple's media apps like Apple TV+ and Quicktime, seem not to have any form

of EQ feature.

The only EQ feature HomePod mini has appears to be "Bass Reducer" which is completely

ineffective on the watery, hollow, muddy, and spatially incorrect for dialogue, audio output over these devices.

Might there be a fix for this? ...
