Music playback from HomePod mini with iTunes Match and Mac-based personal music library
I would like to confirm that the configuration outlined below will allow playback of music tracks from a HomePod mini (using Siri to access a selection of music from a personal music library):
- Tracks are stored in a Mac-based Apple Music library taken from original CDs (not downloaded iTunes purchases or downloaded from an Apple Music subscription)
- iTunes Match subscription purchased to enable playback of music content (originally available from a Mac-based Apple Music Library) via the cloud-based iTunes Match library
- Playback initiated from the HomePod mini via Siri (not to be confused with the HomePod mini used as an AirPlay device with playback initiated from another device (e.g. Mac or iPad)).
Is my understanding of how iTunes Match functions correct?
