FCP X 10.6.1 is giving me the spinning wheel and blocks!

Is anyone having the same issue? HELP!

For reference:

-I am working on a with PRORES 4K every time I try to color grade a video FCPX freezes and becomes irresponsible. While browsing videos it was also having issues, but at least at could work.

It sometimes unfreezes if I force quit the finder...

-Running on a M1 iMac with 16G RAM

-External Drive LacieBig Dock 8T

Thanks for any help, this is rather frustrating!!!

Hi There Tom,

Here LINK you can see all "Apple ProRes and ProRes RAW Authorized Products." Z-Cam is on the list. I can share te video once I am done.

And then, It does look fine... the Zlog2 gives a lot of space for color grading. I think my problem comes more from the structure of the library (paths, names and proxy replicas) and the constant back-render taking resources. I have not figure that out yet.

Surely, if I found something that I can "name" I will share it here.

Switch off background rendering in playback preferences. Select the library and use File >Delete Generated Library Files. You’ll get the option to delete render files.
