External Monitor Image Frozen After Wake from Sleep (M1 Pro MacBook Pro)
I have a SAMSUNG LC49RG90SSNXZA 49-Inch CRG9 Curved Gaming Monitor connected to my 2021 14 inch M1 Pro MacBook Pro running Monterey (12.0.1). The monitor is connected via a USB-C to Display Port high bandwidth cable. When the monitor wakes from sleep, the image on the monitor is frozen. I need to open the laptop lid and close it again for the image on the monitor to become a “live” again. The monitor setting also resets to “variable” refresh rate instead of 120 Hz (which is what I set it to). The resolution remains at 5120 x 1440 (which is the resolution I set the monitor for). Anyone else experiencing this? Any fixes? All suggestions welcome.
