Disable message filter

Is it possible to disable the apple mail message filter permanently? It's really a nuisance not seeing all mail.

Has one attempted Mail: View >> " Sort By " and Enable addition filters ?

Then go back to your original " Mail: View=>Filter=>enable message filter and see what is offered again. One may find there are additional Options to allow what is wanted.

Tried the proposed solution, but that did make any difference. I would like to have this option in Mail: View=>Filter=>enable message filter completely disabled or greyed out. In my honest opinion this option is completely useless: especially when you store mail locally. When this function is enabled I don't see any mail anymore and you also can't find any email when searching on specific words (they're all read, so invisible due to the filtering).

Can I suggest a change for the next release of Mail(?) => drop the function completely.
