NBC App on Apple TV 4K

I've tried everything possible, for over a month, to get NBC to stop its audio narration on its prime time shows. It is so intrusive and beyond exasperating. I have no audio narration on my TV, nor on my Apple TV 4k. I've also written to NBC, and they haven't been able to fix this. It's really driving me crazy.

Verify the audio language while in the app, that is is not set to a language with “AD” (Audio Descriptions).

Change subtitles or languages for videos in the Apple TV app or iTunes Store - Apple Support


Also verify the Accessibility settings on Apple TV, that Audio Descriptions is not set as default (when available).

Turn Audio Descriptions on or off on your Apple TV - Apple Support

I understand that. Again, I have gone through every part of the Apple Device. Audio Description is OFF, language is correct. This is only happening on NBC, through my cable providers app. It doesn't happen on any other app. It also doesn't happen if I go directly to the NBC app, instead of through my provider's app. Problem is the NBC app keeps failing, I delete it, reinstall, it's fine, then the next day it fails again, and I repeat the delete and reinstall process. This also does NOT happen when I watch TV on my bedroom TV, which has a regular cable box; it's only happening on my second TV, in the living room, which has no cable box; so this is definitely an ssue somehow Apple related and NBC App related and Altice One related.

So it seems that you have two misbehaving apps then.


Try this for both misbehaving apps:


Else try a complete reset to factory settings of the Apple TV box, if you know that it doesn’t happen for other Apple TV box users. Reset or restore your Apple TV to its factory settings - Apple Support. That will mean setting up from scratch again.
