Cost of screen glass replacement / repair

The tilted (top-heavy!) display toppled over and the glass on my gorgeous new screen has cracked. I am heartbroken! Approximately how much will it please cost in the UK for replacement glass for a new iMac 24 inch (M1)? My insurance company needs an estimate BEFORE considering authorising a repair, but Apple will only give an official estimate once a repair is scheduled. I'm in a Catch 22 situation!

iMac 24″, macOS 12.0

Why are you hesitant to contact Apple Repair? Their estimate is the bottom line, plus it’s free with no obligation. All the best!

Thanks, yup you got a very nice one. I would move forward with getting an estimate and then presenting that info to the insurance company. Please include your original sales receipt so your insurance company can see how much you paid for it.
