How to keep mini-keyboard with Predictive Text maximized?

Click and hold on the small icon on the corner then drag the icon to the middle of the screen and release.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're looking for the option to have the Predictive Text bar for your keyboard enabled at all times. Although we weren't able to find anything specific, have you taken a look at your settings to ensure the correct ones are enabled for your keyboard? I was so annoyed when the newest update made it that small icon in the corner because any time it corrected a word or needed to use auto fill I would have to stop typing to press the icon and then press what I wanted instead of just having it displayed already. It was driving me crazy and was more of a hinderance and slowing me down

Thank you so much!! Apple support don’t even know how to fix this. I was told it was normal behaviour, then instructed to restore iPad and setup as a new iPad. This simple fix worked. Life saver.
