iMac 21,5" late 2009 as a monitor on a Chromebook

For work at home I use an Acer Chromebook Spin 13.

Fulltime, it's a nightmare with such small screen.

I have an old iMac 21,5" late 2009 model.

Can I use that as a monitor? Connected to the Chromebook?

If so, which connections do I need?

Thanks in advance.

1) In 2009, only the 27-inch iMac could be used, under limited conditions, as an external monitor.

2) The function you seek, Target Display Mode, was never intended, documented, or supported as anything other than Mac-to-Mac.
