Apple TV Flickering When In Full Screen On MacBook Air 2020

I have tried everything I have found in forums to stop the flickering but to no avail. It is super annoying and only happens when using the Apple TV desktop app. This has been an on going issue for quite a few people and am surprised Apple has fixed this bug yet.

Apple TV app screen flickering on Macbook Air 13' I recently purchased the 2020 Macbook air. One wired thing that I have notices is that when I use the Apple TV app to watch a show in full screen mode, there is a significant screen flickering. This problem is only with the full screen display and not when I watch in a window without the full screen. Please help.

Apple TV App Video Flickers When watching The Goldbergs in the Apple TV app on my Fall 2019 MacBook Pro (purchased in the iTunes store), the video will flicker occasionally during playback. This does not happen when watching DVDs, streamed videos (e.g., YouTube), or even other purchased movies in the app (e.g., The Princess Bride). It literally only happens when watching this purchased TV show. I tried deleting and downloading an episode again to see if it was a problem with the download itself, but the flickering continues... Side note: It would be a lot more helpful if there was a way to send/report feedback on something so specific WITHOUT having to post in this forum. It takes so much more time than simply alerting developers to the problem. Thank you!

Macbook Air 2020 Screen Flickers when fullscreen Apple TV Plays in Fullscreen Just got my brand new MacBook Air 2020 a couple days ago. When I played some shows on Apple TV in full screen, it starts flickering/flashing. Happens randomly and occurs in many shows. (Defending Jacob, The Morning Show, and some documentaries too.) YouTube and Netflix do not seem to have the same problem. (But I don't have Netflix in 4K and my wifi is too slow for running 4K on Youtube. Lots of delaying) https://youtu.be/GtJ-vZFLazo I restarted both the app and the laptop. (long hold the start button) and still the same. Should I simply go replace with a new one?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We're happy to help with this trouble you're having with Apple TV on the MacBook. We suggest resetting the nonvolatile random-access memory (NVRAM), as this can help with most display issues. Follow the steps here to do so:

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac
