MacBook Air Trash file

I have a finder notice on screen saying “To use this item, first drag it out of the Trash.

The item referred to is pictures. I’ve tried clicking on the trash but it won’t open!

Can you please help me!

When you say click, do you mean Left click, i.e. "normal" click? To open Trash, you have to right click and select "Open". If you can't right click, in System Preferences, open the Mouse and select "Secondary Click".


Once Trash is open, you can right click the file and "Put Back" to where it came from or drag and drop it where you want it.
