iPhone SE (2020) battery idle drain

Hello, I bought an iPhone SE (2020) for my mother, which was delivered on Nov 11 (26 days ago).

It has an awful battery problem. Yesterday, she charged her phone up to 100% at around 22 hs, after which she stopped using her phone completely until the next day at 15 hs (17 hours), only to find her battery completely depleted.

How could it be that the battery drained completely with no use at all? I read online that Apple promises up to 10 days of idle battery life.

I'm sorry but it's not just "some" issues. The battery is literally dying with no use at all.

Apple claims the iPhone SE 2020 has 10 days battery life on standby, yet somehow it dies in less than a day.

I have deactivated all background app refresh, deactivated "Hey Siri" , used low battery mode, and even deleted some apps. How is it that I have to deactivate services which are indeed useful and pre activated just to try and get a phone to last a day WITHOUT usage.

I actually bought this phone for my mother, because I thought she would have a nice user experience with apple, and I am regretting it every day.

She can't use it. It drains without even touching it, (now the battery usage data doesn't even show the most consuming app or service, since I deactivated everything there is), and it still lost 50% from morning till afternoon with less than two minutes of screen time, and she is better using her old slow 2017 Android Phone, which by the way lasts days, standby or not.

I do not know what to do, at this point I am just hoping she can sell it back. I brought this phone abroad with me, so I guess I won't even be able to return it.
