Why does my iPhone 12 only SOMETIMES work via USB? Sometimes it works with no issues. Then I stop the car and get out for 30 minutes and come back and it says “Unsupported Ver.” and nothing works. Is there any upgrade to fix this besides a new $500 stereo that does really fit into the dash?

I know how to plug in my phone. I’ve been doing it since 2011 when I bought the car. That was not the issue. The issue is now that I am running 15.1.1, it more times than not, says unsupported on my pilot’s stereo. Though the car is only 10 years old, now my phone doesn’t work. Only thing I can find to do is replace the stereo, which doesn’t actually fit the correct way and I spend over $500 to get it. It will look horrible in my $50k car. It’s ridiculous. Apple should release an update that makes it so we can continue to use our stereos.
