Macbook Pro M1 Microphone not found
Since a few weeks (maybe two months) I've issues with the microphone. It's not only the internal microphone, but also using wired headphones.
The issues seem to be software related. This morning for example, I used Slack for video calling and the built-in microphone and speaker worked perfectly fine. After 10 minutes I went into a Google Meet call, first using Chrome, but it immediately told me the microphone could not be found. I switched to Safari, and it didn't show any issues, but people couldn't hear me. Microsoft Teams (desktop app) has the same issues.
Sometimes when I use Bluetooth headphones, the microphone does work again.
Wired headphones are even more weird, when I plug them in the sound buttons on the touch bar turn translucent (sometimes). And sometimes they work again.
All in all it's odd, and I can't reproduce when the microphone does or does not work. After a restart they all work again for a little while, but for example starting Microsoft Teams breaks it again.
I've had the issue on both Big Sur and Monterey (used currently).
It's a Macbook Pro 13" M1 from 2020.
I've looked through similar issues, but solutions mostly relate to Intel chips. Like resetting the SMC.
Solutions also note to quit the coreaudiod process, but that process isn't running (in Activity Monitor).
I've looked through the system logs for any errors that might relate to my issues, but couldn't find anything that stood out.
Does someone have an idea how to fix or debug the issue? Is there a way to reset certain processes on a M1 Macbook?
Thanks in advance!
