Icon size shrunk

OK, Apples own documentation states that when you choose "LARGE ICONS" there should be 20 icon per page and when you choose "SMALL ICONS" there should be 30 per page. However, you can change this setting till the cows come home and it STILL stays at 30 icons per page. That means that the OS is NOT working as designed. I don't think it is too much to ask to give the user the ability to better see the icon and to install an updtae that does NOT completely alter the look and feel of the device. I paid alot for this device so I do not buy the ridiculous "option" that "if I dont like it, switch". I see no reason why the device should not work AS IT IS SUPPOSED TO. also, if you are installing a change like this (changing the size of the icon and the number per page), if you are going to give the used the "option" to set it to large or small, why wouldn't the default setting be to keep the setup "as is" but let the user know that they can opt into small icons if they wish to (instead of automatically switching them WITHOUT notifiying the user).

Why are you telling me? I can't fix it. Tell Apple. You can either use the feedback link provided above. Or, if you want to explore the matter further with Apple, use the "Get Support" link at the top right of every page of these forums.

This is not really what everyone is complaining about. The icons have shrunk wit the new update regardless off this setting. Its really poor form and typical of Apple. Probably works great with the latest ipad. Back to the drawing board with this one Apple.

Icons on Home Screen are too small even after changing settings to use large icons. Need to go back to having 20 icons per page. This is after last update to IOS 15.1

This doesn’t help. I have it set that way. Before the update, by size I could only have 20 icons the way it was set up, now it will hold 30 with the same settings

I agree Apple need to return the Apps to their original size why change something that works!

Agree with everyone else. This is not helpful as the apps are smaller on large than they were. Why don’t they let us know what will change first and let us decide if we want it or not!!

I’m in total agreement about the size of the Icons. Awful…and I’ve tried to follow directions to use Larger Size and it doesn’t do it! Apple needs to address this ASAP!

This is probably one of the stupidest responses I've heard...good for your glasses. You just seem to accept whatever is thrown at you. Good luck with your glasses.

I can see them, but it’s just uncomfortably small. I don’t need jumbo grandpa size, but teeny tiny is just weird.

There is no fix. That’s the problem!

I have the same issue. Switching to large app icons does change there size some, but they are not nearly as large as they were with iOS 14.x
