Since I updated to iOS 15 I cannot see icons, they have become too small…..even when set to larger icon in settings. Need to revert back to larger icons of previous iOS versions right now. Absurd to make so tiny, smaller is not better….no utility value. Very poor decision.
Fix this now or show me how.

I notice on my iPhone, under SETTINGS> DISPLAY & BRIGHTNESS, at the very bottom, they have “DISPLAY ZOOM”, which makes your screen zoom larger INCLUDING the icons. Unfortunately They don’t have that feature on the IPad.
Just go on youtube and search how to downgrade it to os14 simple.

No Solution….. you’re stuck with the size you see, until or unless, Apple comes up with a software update to give specifically iPad users, more options.
I’m using an iPad Pro with iOS 15.1.1 and I can see the icons just fine.. and I wear glasses because my eyesight is horrible. I think some of you folks need to stop complaining and go see your optometrist. Apple would be doing a serious disservice to society if they changed things back just to pander to your bad eyesight.
I did the latest update and, as mentioned above, the icons shrunk. My settings are large icons, but in reality they are the small ones from before the update.
Hard to see these icons and they are grouped very tightly together. For people with vision issues this is a disaster! Not a smart move by Apple. Please fix this!!!
I normally have large icons as find smaller ones difficult to see. The new update has reduced the size of the icons. I have checked my settings and I still have large icons selected. Please can you tell me how to fix this so that I can see the icons at the size they used to be. Like I said I have already selected large icons.
could apple please let customers know if an update will affect the visual side of things before we download it, this is especially important for those with visual impairments
Fix in Response does not work. I’ve restarted my iPad. I’ve tried again. Restarted again. Tried another day. Restarted again Tried another week. Restarted again. It doesn’t work. Very frustrating. It’s also something that happened In the past with an update so I’d think it would be something that would be watched for.
So now what? Live with it because I’ve no other choice??????
I wear eyeglasses and my eyesight is horrible and I have a hard time with the icons.
Apple wouldn’t be pandering by fixing a problem they created. My dad with macular degeneration is severely affected by these unadvertised changes.
You are lucky your eyesight is as good as it is.
Hummm . . . That’s odd. Mine hasn’t changed vertically or horizontally. I checked to see what version of iOS and it’s the latest 15.2.1. Even if they did come back horizontally, I never use my iPad on the horizontal so it wouldn’t be of much use to me.
Not helpful for my ipad. The icons are annoyingly smaller after the latest update, even at the "Use Large App Icons" Why did apple do this - change for the sake of it?
Please add more options - regular, large or extra large.
Reluctant to update my iphone as the problem will be even worse.
When are Apple going to respond to this thread?
I’m purposely delaying the update on my other iPad as don’t want the reduced size icons. The information posted earlier was already on my iPad and still is yet the icons have still shrunk
Oh no… i have done the same mistake by updating to ios 15 from 14. The worse thing is that i knew about that and avoided updating the ios like a plague. But unfortunately today for some reason i forgot and just hit that button…. I have to say, its worse than i thought, I absolutely hate it… i cant see anything. Im really disappointed because i know Apple will not fix it. As usual they will say: “deal with it”. And its not something that i can get used to it with time, i can’t see easily, the icons are so packed together, it feels terrible. :(

I’m wondering if anyone, here, who has complained about the shrunken icons has actually called Apple to see what they’re doing about it? It seems like just posting complaints doesn’t get us too far. We’ve had another update since this one and still the icons are too small.
I think I’m going to try calling. Anyone else?
Hello, I just tried the zoom feature. This is definitely NOT the solution. I called Apple yesterday. They acted as if they’d never heard about the problem. Wanted to troubleshoot my iPad! I explained that it’s not my iPad, it’s their software update that caused this problem and that there are many of us with the same issue. Doesn’t anyone from Apple read these forums? What’s the point if we’re only complaining and no one at Apple is listening! Not even when I go out of my way to make a phone call!
That’s what I thought as well….. once you move forward, its impossible to go back to 14. Now i know the icon reduction came with 15.2.1. I don’t know if you’re able to go back to 15.1.1 I’m not that savvy.
