How to send video to email

It depends on your (and on your correspondent's) email box capacity.

Standard email boxes (offered for free by email providers) accept just 10-15MB attachments size, and if the video exceeds that size, instead of "emailing" it, I suggest that you share it on a cloud service like GoogleDrive, Dropbox, etc.

Emailing a video can be very difficult and many will not send due to file size. If this is a long video, you should also get a warning about file size, and the iPhone will attempt to compress the file before it attempts to send. So, that is probably why you are seeing a delay.
