Mac mini M1 freezes

Hi,

I have one constant issue on a daily basis. Near after I have bought a mac mini m1 and installed Big Sur (by the time of writing I have upgraded to Monterey without any changes to this issue) my new Mac started freezing in some strange way. I could move the mouse and even switch between windows, but I couldn't choose or confirm anything, neither by mouse, trackpad, or keyboard, therefore I also haven't been able to stop some apps manually.

I have a strong assumption that it could be because of overload due to using a lot of different apps due to working from home and also having a lot of tabs opened in my browser.

Anyway, this is very annoying because I'm not sure when I'm going to cross the 'red' line, and also I don't want to perform a hard reset on a daily basis.

Can you please advise me, how can I avoid hard resetting my mac mini m1 when this happens, and I can't take over control over my input devices?

Hard reset also usually invoke issue with Photo syncing.

Thank you for your answers,

Best regards,

Sasha

I think you may have pointed to a contributor to the problem. Having too many things on the go at the same time is creating demands on the system. Unless you have a continuing need for certain apps or tabs to be open I would close them after use. Also if you have any anti-virus or cleanup apps installed they should be removed as they are known to mess with the system cause all sorts of issues.
