Downloading documents from Safari to my computer

Since upgrading to Catalina 10.15.7 I have had trouble finding documents downloaded from Safari to my computer, to documents. I never had problems with this with the last 2 OS, the last was High Sierra. I could find everything in finder. I attempted to download a document from Safari as is 2x and convert it to PDF 2x. It does not show in finder, the second time I download a pop up states this document exist do I want to replace it? If this is on my computer, how do I find it? I cannot do business on this computer.

Check Safari > Preferences > General > File Dowload Location to see where Safari is saving what you download.

You can change this setting to almost any folder you prefer as your download location.

Thanks for replying, they are going to downloads, the only other option I have is ask for each download

and other. There is another problem with finder I was having before upgrading OS. When Choosing a file

to upload to a website, like my resume, most files in finder were not available for upload, they were in grey

print, the ones available for upload were in black. I found a way around this problem. Something else is going on.

To elaborate on this ongoing problem, I cannot find downloads from safari. On Chrome this is what I have to do:

Download a PDF, JPG, HTML or other file, it does not show in finder. I need to click on the download in the bottom of page

then go to Chrome://downloads click show in finder. The finder that appears has all the downloads I just downloaded in

Chrome, if I close this finder and open the finder in the bottom left bar on computer the downloads are not there!!! I need to

go back to Chrome://downloads, click show in finder, when that finder appears I have to open EACH download in that finder for the downloads to appear in the finder I open from the bottom left of my computer. I have 2 finders with different files??

Is there a downloads folder on my computer, or is Chrome://downloads my downloads folder?
