When I try to open a link in a new tab in any browser by performing the "Command + Tap to Click" it doesn't work without a second attempt, sometimes third.

  • Running macOS Monterey 12.0.1 (21A559)
  • Changed sensitivity to Light: (System Preferences>Trackpad)
  • Doesn't happen with external keyboard and trackpad (both official Mac products). It only happens with built-in keyboard and trackpad.
  • Can consistently reproduce.

Reproduce:

  1. Head to any app or webpage where a Command + Tap has some functionality (opening a new tab is obvious one but happens within native apps too)
  2. Press Command and then tap. If it doesn't work, continue to try with same force and it will eventually work

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.0
