Onenote crashes on startup - OS Monterey

Hi all,

My Onenote crashes just seconds after I start it. I noticed that this issue has been existing on Macs for a few years and I have tried the proposed solutions:

Open Finder > Click Go in the top menu > select Go to Folder:

1.Delete this folder: ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.onenote.mac

2.Delete this folder: ~/Library/Group\ Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office

3.Open up “Keychain Access” app on your Mac, and search for “MicrosoftOffice”. If OneNote recognized that you signed in, you will have an entry with a long name. Delete it.

4.Restart your computer.

5.Try launching OneNote and signing in again.

Unfortunately this did not help. Does anyone have any other soltutions?

I have the same issue - There was a problem with Microsoft OneNote and your recent work might be lost. MacOS Monterey with a new iMac 24. OneNote never opened, all other Office apps work fine. They say it is an account profile issue and to seek help here. I went through a ton of troubleshooting with Microsoft, including this link. You might try some of that, although it sounds like you already did. Hopefully we can get some suggestions here if it is the account profile issue. :)
