iphone Battery Pack MagSafe - how to properly charge the charger

how do I tell from the indicator lights when the battery pack is Charging? fully Charged? Just received it - plugged it in, a red light briefly came on, then the indicator light when OUT? is it fully charged or not working? I would have expected a green or white light to indicate fully charged .... as always no info in the brochure that came with the product and I can not find any description online of its proper operation. TY for any info and help!

Hi Judah0-AZ,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you'd like more information on the MagSafe Battery Pack status light. We have some information that you may find helpful. In the first section of: How to use your MagSafe Battery Pack it says, "While your MagSafe Battery Pack is charging, the status light might flash. If it flashes green, your battery pack is fully charged. If it flashes amber, your battery pack might need more time to charge". There's some additional information on how to check the charging status further down in the article.

Hope this helps.

Take care.
