If I record a video on my mac photo booth that surpasses 3 or 4 minutes it saves as an empty video. 0:00 seconds and I'm unable to play it. This began happening after I updated to MacOS Monterey. I have put my computer into safe mode, changed, users, restarted, deleted photobooth library and made a new one etc. Any help would be great. I've attached a photo as an example.

Hi! Has anyone found a solution yet? This happened to me today when I recorded something on my PhotoBooth on my new 2021 Macbook Pro (running on Monterey OS). Really urgent for me to recover this .MOV file as right now it's not even playing and any free website converter I upload it to, it just says "error". Please help Apple!
This is so frusturating. My videos used to save fine until a couple months ago they began saving as corrupted files. Why is Apple not taking this seriously?
I upgraded to 12.4 and that did not resolve the issue.
Update to 12.4 , mine works now
yep. updated to 12.4, files are still totally corrupted. how can i actually UNcorrupt them?

Nor for me. Sometimes it records & sometimes it doesn't. I'm using it on a
2017 Imac as a security camera when I go out, which was great until this began.

Ditto here with a new MacBook Pro M1.
Using a second party camera via Photo Booth.
2 videos were under 60 seconds.
I now see there's 4 pages of heartache from disappointed users here and no official response. Says a lot! Too busy doing share buy backs to be bothered?

I have the same problem too if a video is over 1 minute it can't be saved. What's going on??
Apple products are now crap… that’s the answer… every machine I’ve bought since 2011 had been a major dud. I have a 2009 iMac still running!
This is really frustrating. Buying a new macbook pro created so many problems for me in almost every area of work. Apple continues to disappoint more and more... what a bummer.
