Iphone not finding network automatically

Hi, iphone 13 will not find my wifi at home automatically, all the settings are correct, double checked them like 10 times, cross referenced them with my husbands phone same phone and he doesn't have the issue, it sometime just switches to LTE a few times a day and then I manually have to select it again.

The setting is "ask to Join Network" to "ASK" not notify or off, wifi is on (green)

Any ideas all the software updates are done, only have the phone for one month or so, my old iphone7 did the same and wondering if there is somewhere a setting which got brought over when I synced the phones?

thanks for any feedback

Hello infogaby,

If we're understanding you right, your iPhone is randomly switching from Wi-Fi to cellular data and not automatically finding your home Wi-Fi network. We know how important it can be to be able to use Wi-Fi instead of cellular data; we'd like to help.

It sounds like your Ask to Join Networks settings are correct for what you are trying to do. There are a couple of other settings we recommend checking next.

  1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > tap on the "i" next to your network name. Make sure "Auto-Join" is turned on there.
  2. Go to Settings > Cellular or Settings > Mobile Data. Turn off "Wi-Fi Assist" near the bottom of that screen. Information about Wi-Fi Assist can be found here: About Wi-Fi Assist.
