How can I rename a Bluetooth device on my iPad?

This is possible only when one is connected to that device. Go into Settings, Bluetooth, and find the device to rename in the list. It will say "Connected ⓘ". If it shows "Not Connected ⓘ", then first connect to the device. It must be on and in range. Then, click the "ⓘ". The First option will be "Name". Click the ">" at the end of that line, change the name, and click on the "<" at the top of the screen.
