Tapping the "i" icon next to VIP in the Mail App takes me to my VIP List. When I then click “Add VIP” at bottom of my list of current VIP contacts and then search and select a new contact, it is NOT added to my VIP list. Rebooting has no effect. Any suggestions?

I spoke with Apple Support. They told me that VIPs are limited to 100 in total, and I have many multiples of that number already, so won’t be able to add any additional.

I am having the same problem. I've been using VIP function for years with no problem- now suddenly it's not working. We need help, Apple!
This problem is claearly endemic to ios. Anybody found a work-around?

Apple doesn’t mark posts as “Solved” - if it’s marked that way it’s because the original poster tapped the “Solved” button.
Apple Support where are you?
I don’t see a button to push for solved or to uncheck since it has definitely not been solved.
The solved button is below your original post.
Once a question is marked as solved it can’t be unmarked.
Has anyone gone to a Genius Bar appointment for this issue yet? Maybe I’ll try that next since Apple Support online isn’t doing anything about this.
Note also that this is not Apple Support online, it’s a forum Apple set up so users can help other users.
