My Apple TV is only showing 1080p as my max resolution. It shows 720p and lower ones at different frame rates. I’ve tried different HDMI ports, HDMI cables, making sure my tv and Apple TV are fully up to date.
my setup:
1st Gen 4K Apple TV
Samsung UN50NU7100FXZA
Rocketfish 8K 48gbps HDMI 2.1 cable

Your TV has HDMI 2.0 ports. Apple TV 4K (1st generation) has HDMI 2.0 ports. HDMI cables certified for 18 Gbps would be enough (but 48 Gbps would work fine too).
Verify if your need to configure your TV HDMI ports for ‘enhanced’ high bandwidth use (some TV brands do).
Verify that you set the HDMI Output on Apple TV to YCbCr (not RGB), and set Chroma to 4:2:0. Then you will have enough bandwidth for 4K HDR.
If you still don’t see 4K options after that, then Reset the video settings on Apple TV.
