External monitor starts flickering when using Spo

It seems like every time I start Spotify app my external monitor (Dell 4K connected via USB C) will start flickering to the point I have to shut it down.

I saw another post describing the exact same issue from 2018:

I contacted Spotify but they had no solution so I am trying to see if it's the new MBP M1 Pro issue as I tested it on my older Intel MBP and there were no issues.

Any idea?

Are you using the same OS on both machines? Else it might be a software incompatibility on Spotify‘s software…. So. You’ll need to wait until Spotify comes out with an update…

Same Spotify version and same OS on all MBP. I have two Dell monitors and a few MBP and a couple of Airs. It's only the new MBP M1 pro that causes this issue.

I submitted a support ticket with Sportify but I doubt anything will change.
