bluetooth pairing fails of iPhones with iOS 15.1 and MacBooks with macOS 12.0.1
All the resets suggested by the community do not work. It seems a problem of software rather than hardware. Does someone know more from Apple?

While having Bluetooth and wi-fi are requirement for AirDrop, it not necessary to pair the devices. All you need to do is turn Bluetooth on for both devices. It doesn't even have to be at the same time. This should help. Use AirDrop on your Mac - Apple Support I'm doing it constantly as I help here on the ASC. I can take screenshots with my iPhone, AirDrop to my Mac and then post here. The same with my iPad.

What are you trying to do with the iPhone and the Mac? They are not designed to be paired, however there are things that require that Bluetooth be turned on for both, just not paired. Please explain what you are attempting to do.
Honestly I want to do nothing via bluetooth. I used always the AirDrop function for transferring files and documents between iPhone and MacBook, therefore I do not know if the pairing via bluetooth was possible for older software. Anyway my doubts arose when I begun to activate the bluetooth blocks on the devices. These ones are reciprocally recognised, ask for connection, pairing code is sent to both devices but the pairing is not established or drops in few seconds.
You probably are right, but let me say that Apple and the Technical Support could release a simple technical note like "pairing iPhone and Mac not supported via bluetooth", instead of suggesting reboots, cancelling, restoring....
Thank for your simple explanation!
Yes, I know how AirDrop works. I would only say that I was driven in considering a false problem by a lack of good documentation.
