Trouble Printing Envelopes Using HP Envy Printer 7864

Hello Everyone: I recently purchased from Apple an HP Envy Printer 7864 to use with a MacBook Pro (2). I have written several letters which print just fine. However, when I try to print an envelope the printer does not print the addresses on the envelope. I have tried reinstalling the printer, restarting the printer, restarting my router, restarting the MacBook with no positive results. The HP tech people suggested there may be a problem with the new version of OS Monterey 12.0.1. Is anyone else encountering a similar problem? Has anyone found a solution? Thanks for your assistance.

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. You've taken a lot of great steps on your own so far, and we have a few more ideas in mind to help.

First, consider which app you're printing from. If needed, testing the issue in another app might provide additional clues. Likewise, if you have another device that's on the same Wi-Fi network as the printer, test the issue further by printing the document from the other device. If the issue also happens with the other device, it might rule out an issue with macOS.

Additionally, if you haven't yet, try resetting the printing system. Here's how:

Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem

If the issue appears isolated to your Mac, we suggest determining whether this issue is caused by something in your user settings or to a more wide-spread issue. To do this, start your Mac in safe mode and test the issue in a new user account. Here's how:
