Routing incoming audio

Hello,

After 18 months of Lockdown, finally some work :)

I have a Numacompact 2X as a Midi source to run MainStage on a MBPro under 11.6.1 Big Sur.

Mainstage V 3.5.3

Interface = Presonus Firestudio mobile => Thunderbolt on the MBPro.

All the "sets" & "patches" work fine.

Preferring the Hammond sounds on the Numa, especially for real-time control, I'd like to run the Audio OUT from the Numa, into the Audio IN(s) of the Presonus, then into MainStage.

Anyone been able to process incoming AUDIO into a "Set" or a "Patch"

Thanks in advance.

Second Q. - is it possible to copy & paste "Sets" & "Patches" from one instance / concert of MainStage to a new one.

I have some old tunes I'd like to use in a new concert, but am at a loss if I can copy them.

Hello,

another case of a manual for musicians written by coders.

Took me 2 minutes to check this and get it working today, but most of yesterday Googling and tearing my hair out.

Thanks very much for this reply.

My second query - can I easily copy & paste “sets” and “patches” from one concert to another without having to save them then load them?

I have some that I’d like to copy from an old concert into a new one - I’d like 2 instances of MainStage open, and drag what I need from one to the other?

cheers

As far as I know, you cannot have two instances on MainStage open concurrently; this is consistent with most/all apps; there are apparently workarounds but not worth the effort in my view.

What you can do though is right click on the patch to be copied and select "Copy", then open the target concert, then click in the patch area, then select "Edit" and "Paste". However if you have multiple patches to copy, it is quicker to simply save each patch to the desktop and then drag them into the target concert.
