Ethernet problem with SD5700T Thunderbolt™ 4 Dual 4K Docking Station

Hi,

have purchased one of these Kensington docking stations recently to work with my MacBook.

I have noticed an intermittent but frequent problem using the ethernet port - the internet connection hangs and I have to resent the device to restore. I have noticed that a separate apple usb-c to gigabit ethernet dongle works without problems, so it's not my local ethernet, and I think its the device.

any advice?

thanks,

Stephen.

I would suggest returning it for a replacement before the return period runs out.

Also, exactly what year/model MacBook do you own?

FWIW, I just got one of the OWC Thunderbolt 4 docks a week ago and the ethernet is working fine for me with my M1 MacBook Air running macOS Monterey. So, I would guess it is an issue with your Kensington dock.
