Is there a way to add your COVID booster shot to the Apple Wallet in iOS 15, or do you have to do have to delete the original entry and do the scan over again?

Just got my booster shot and have been waiting for the third record to show up in my Apple Wallet, where the first two appeared after I scanned the QR code.

Will it appear automatically? If so, how long does it take? Or will I need to do the scan over again with the QR code from the state repository?

Hello Robert Marshall,

We can certainly understand wanting to have all of your vaccine data updated in Apple Wallet. We'd like to provide you with some information on this.

It looks like you have been looking over Add verifiable COVID-19 vaccination information to Apple Wallet and Health. That's a great resource for help adding your vaccination information to your Apple Wallet and the Health app. As you'll see in the following support article, the Health app should automatically update your health records periodically: View health records on your iPhone or iPod touch. With that being said, you should eventually see the record updated with your latest immunization information.

It is an option to delete your old health record and add it again to see if it will pull that new information in. You'll find steps on how to delete the record in the support article above.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Take care.
