Apple Watch Series 4 battery life

Over the past few days my watch is going flat after a couple of hours, usually I charge at night and it last throughout the day with still some battery. This has suddenly changed! I took it off charge about 8.30 am today and by 1.30 it was completwly

flat. Again wore at about 3.00 and by 6.00 flat! It has just turned 3, so the cynic in me is wondering if that’s why? Help

mich appreciated. It isn’t used highly just perhaps two workouts a day for 30 mins and standard telling the time!

If the battery drains too fast after an update, see all the replies to:

FWIW, in some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the battery draining issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)

Also, some people have found that simply waiting a few days after an update resolves the battery draining problem.

I have an apple watch 3. That I bought in september. Up until a few days ago i could get about 2 days out of a charge. Now i will be lucky to make it through the day. Not sure why it changed but battery health is still 100% so trying to figure it out. I made no updates to my phone of watch. I use 14.8.1 and watch is 7.6.2.
