Can someone explain why Siri is responsible for a constant 30% battery drain on my new iPhone 13, in iOS 15.1.1? It don't think it is still indexing, to enable search abilities, since it has been a week since I got the iPhone.
I have turned off 'Listen for "Hey Siri"'
I guess I will have to completely disable Siri, since I am mostly using the feature on Apple Watch.
As of the newest 15.4 update this seems to be solved!! I had this issue where it always showed Siri using the top 1 or 2 battery usage of all apps even though I barely use Siri, and since 15.4 the issue has been completely corrected. Now it only shows 1% Siri usage over 24 hours or 10 days (before it could be 20-40%! even though I almost never use Siri) and I have to scroll down to even find Siri in my battery usage list). Everyone else having this success with most recent update too?

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you have issues with Siri using more battery that it should after disabling it. There are some features that are related to Siri but not disabled with just turning off Hey Siri. Do you have Siri suggestions disabled as well? Thank you for the generic answer I have seen posted for similar problems. It was not helpful, but I appreciate the time it took to copy and paste.
After I disabled "double click to open Siri", i.e. I disabled Siri altogether, battery drain has gone significantly down.
It is sad that Apple in iOS 15.1.1 still cannot get battery drain under control for a brand new iPhone 13, and that there are no known good solutions other than completely disabling Siri.
I have disabled every switch under "Siri and Search". This seems to resolve the problem, and I don't experience any issues resulting from these settings. I can use Siri on my watch, and I don't need Siri on iPhone. Of course, if you need Siri on your phone, you are stuck with the drain, until Apple fixes it.
It could be that Siri is constantly indexing content on the phone, if any switch is turned on, but I don't really know.
You should first update the phone to 15.4
I have had this problem periodically in the past on my iPhone 12 pro, even after I disabled every possible Siri function in every app. Then it sends to go away until somewhere around IOS update 15.3. When I was periodically using various low and high percentages including 100 percent. t someone's suggestion night signed into iCloud, which I had never set up to see what it was doing there, although it seems just signing in terns things on automatically. That's when I discover that starting February 2, at least that's the day that one of the first photo, my iPhone started uploading my photos to iCloud even though I never turned it on. I deleted them from my iPhone iCloud after some worry about it deleting them on my iPhone, but I already have the full resolution versions on my iPhone. One has to go through numerous procedures to turn things off. However this send the solve the Siri problem first but then I came back. I went into iCloud again, and in turn things back on including a couple other things, but kept a couple of things off that I turned off. I thought maybe I'll just turn off everything and not signout, but I wasn't happy with that. So I signed out and it asked me if I wanted to download my Keychain and password data to my iPhone or else it would be deleted. Perhaps I should have done that but I didn't and then on my's login information was gone, and doesn't seem to Store new login information for auto-fill, which is on. I signed in again trying to find out if I could restore the password but I could not find them in iCloud. When I saw information on Apple's website that, even though the pop-up warning so that would remain in iCloud, the Apple info said if you delete them from the last device they will be deleted from iCloud servers also--this is contradictory information. I figured I would just reenter the info as I needed it, but now it is not saving it. I shouldn't need iCloud to save it on the my device, should I? I never signed in with my MacBook and that it does not seem to be connected to iCloud. I think it is of abhorrent of Apple to set up iCloud regarding passwords and more recently for photos, I believe after the IOS 15.3 update without me choosing to do so or even signing in to on cloud--this is bad behavior, and has cause a lot of problems. I also noticed after the signing in and out of iCloud that interned online messages on my iPhone which I had never turned on or if it was trying on at the beginning I had turned it off--I got my first iMessage, which is how I noticed it was on--I turned it off again.
Getting back to the Siri issue. After sit eeming to you to drop down to increasingly low percentagesm to 1%. I just noticed after 39.5 hours since full charge, not using my phone much, if at all, battery was down to 85%, and it showed 100% usage by Siri. Even after I additionally played some videos in the VLC app and battery went down another 5%, it still showed 100% Siri.
Actually, this only STARTED on my iPhone after updating to 15.4.1. Prior to this update, my iPhone was at 14.x and I’ve never seen Siri use battery power. This evening I checked because I was wondering why my battery was at 60%, which seemed lower than it should have been. Siri was the main culprit and the highest user at 22%. I haven’t used Siri for a long time and seldom do.
I wanted to edit my reply but now you can only edit within 15 minutes posting. I was going to correct the issue or delete the comment about trouble saving login information--I see you once you actually sign in somewhere it gives you the option to save it, even if it did delete all my Keychain info from iCloud. There workalso numerous dictation typos, so I'm reposting my comment here, corrected. By the way, one other thing I'm trying now is turning off Notify me when my name is mentioned, in the message app settings. I don't know if it will have an effect, but perhaps there's some connection to Siri in the background. Now my corrected text:

I have had a 13 pro over a week and am in the exact same spot. Have hey siri turned off, barely use siri, and it’s taking up dramatically higher percentage than other apps after a day of using my phone
Having the same issue. One week of a new iPhone 13 pro and Siri is all turned off and yet draining over 30% of my battery usage. Hoping there’s a fix for this soon. Shouldn’t be happening to a brand new phone that isn’t even utilizing the feature
I have the same problem with iPhone 13 and 15.1.1. Siri constantly uses between 37-48% of my battery usage. That is with Hey Siri turned off. This is obviously an Apple problem.
Any new information on this problem? Is this issue being researched?
Same issue as everyone else. I have a brand new Iphone 13 pro that's not even a month old and so far it's been nothing but buyer remorse. I had a 100% percent charge when I went to bed and woke up with 93%. When I checked the drain, it said that it was Siri between 1-2 AM. Huh!? Very unhappy with my recent "upgrade" from X.

Siri even uses more than my Chat apps in 10 days usage, I used to see siri 100% battery usage within 24 hours battery.
