Trade in kit not received now being charged

Has anyone had this happen and if so what did you do?

I financed my iPhone a year ago and had to trade in my XR, I never received the kit. No stores near me were open due to COVID/ you couldn’t go in. I rang 8 times to chase where the kit was making it EXPLICITLY clear I did not want to be charged for there mistake. Was told I wouldn’t be charged every time. I rang a week ago to be told the trade in has been cancelled and I will be charged!!

if anyone has advice please let me know

If I understand your situation correctly, you’re saying there was an issue a year ago regarding not receiving a kit that you’re looking to resolve now. I am a volunteer, and have absolutely no authority to speak for Apple. But as an outside observer, I would say your chance of resolving a year old issue is minuscule.

Yes an issue that’s been going on for a year as in I have rang apple periodically the whole of this year to get the trade in kit, promised every time it will be sent and it never was, even when I rang back to get it sent again. Now I’m being charged. I guess as it’s now a year down the line there’s nothing they can do but I think it’s pretty poor from them
