After upgrading my Mac desktop OS to Monterey V. 12.01, my (free) Adobe Reader (32bit) won't work. Which adobe product works with Monterey? How do I find/download it because I can't open existing adobe reader app to get an update.

Next time you'll tell him to use apple maps instead of google maps. Preview is absolute rubbish compared to adobe.
You do if you want to sign a pdf with a digital certificate.
That's not completely true.
Acrobat Reader DC is sometimes REQUIRED for viewing secure documents.

the Preview app does not open Adobe zip files containing multiple PDFs. The recent upgrade is very frustrating.

You don't need Adobe Reader. Preview is just as capable, if not more.
