I have reinstalled driver to printer. I have manipulated all settings but, regardless of setting (feed direction, clockwise checked/unchecked) the address prints upside down. I can't find an explanation. Others are connected to the printer and use it to print envelopes (on Macbooks, working correctly) so I can't just feed the envelopes backwards.

The printing settings on this Mac seem confused or corrupted.
If you create another user on the Mac, and add this printer, and print a test print, does that show the same symptoms? (This will localize the issue to some Mac system-wide setting, or to a setting within the particular login.)

For firmware, there's no way that printer doesn't have firmware. How to acquire the printer firmware and how to get it installed, is unfortunately unclear from what Kyocera has posted.
Having looked at the various Kyocera websites, I don't see a way out of contacting the printer vendor support here, either.
Are you experiencing the same issue when printing using, say, the Apple iWork Pages envelopes template, from the same Mac?
And as suggested above, does feeding the envelopes differently resolve this for you?
I will try iWork. As I mentioned, the only resolution is feeding envelope differently; however, that messes up others. That said, regardless of how I manipulate the settings i.e., clockwise checked, clockwise unchecked, feeding direction, that does not change how it actually prints. That is what is puzzling.
What issue or problem or concern caused you to update the printer drivers?
Is everybody using the same printing path to this printer? (AirPrint, IPP/IPPS, or some other connection?)
Tried removing and re-adding the printer in System Preferences?
If removing and re-adding does not address this, tried resetting the macOS printing subsystem?

I am not family with the macOS printing subsystem.
As an aside, when I connected my thermal printer for stamps.com, that prints every other stamp (roll of stamps).
Created second user. Still same issue. Envelopes, regardless of settings, prints upside down.
Removed and re-add printers...same issue.

Believe me, I wish i could just live with putting envelopes in "backwards" and move on, but I can't.
All of this sure looks like the printer is printing the way that it wants to print envelopes.
Which printer vendor and full model, and (if applicable) which firmware revision?
Are there different printing paths in use among the various printer clients?
It is frustrating. I just switched over to Mac. I have always quickly and easily printed envelopes via Word. Again, even Pages is doing it...though I don't know how to manipulate the feeder settings on Pages.
Kyocera TASKalfa 4053ci. Not sure about firmware.
We print via WiFi. Always have.
Sounds like you are feeding the envelopes incorrectly.
I am inserting envelopes exactly as I should. Pages is doing the exact same thing. I am matching settings of other users in the office.
