Apple charged me twice for a Mac Book Pro 16

Hi all - as above. I have two debits on my bank account. Apple (after a long time on the phone) tell me the first was just an authorisation. My bank tell me it was a debit.

Apple tell me that they had to make a second debit in order to ship the goods - and the first was just an authorisation.

Then when the goods are shipped which should be "quite soon" they will refund everything. But they just told me they didn't debit me. How can they refund what they have not debited.

My bank still say there were two debits. I have the bank debit records.

So I am 8k out of pocket - for a 4k MBP ??

Don't worry they say - it will all be cleared up.

I ask for the confirmation code for the refund to my bank. Guess what - it doesn't work - not enough information for the bank.

Apple - not very opaque when it comes to double debits. They demand the money (again) or they dont ship the goods.

I'm going to stick with my local store where I only pay once.

First time in 33 years (mac plus) that Apple have disappointed.

This is the first report I have heard in over ten years your situation; and without all the facts it is hard to speculate.


I suspect with a bit of patience on your part "it will all be cleared up."
