Can't use apple ID for in-app purchases. Needed me to verify my payment information instead.

Well, there are actually 18 dollars in my Apple ID balance and it's more than enough to buy the game pass I wanted. However, for some reason, it restricts me by popping up something called "verification required" and brings me to a page to enter some credit/debit card info every time I wanted to make a purchase.

The problem is when I first bought my device I could make a purchase with my Apple ID, but I just can't figure out why I can't do so now. Tried to call the staff for help twice but they just couldn't.

P.S. I have already signed in both AppStore and my device.

(All those struggles started about the time when I joined a family sharing, so I suspect it has something to do with it. I have already left the family sharing now though but the problem still continues)

Would appreciate it very much if someone stumbles upon my discussion and try to help since this problem has already been bugging me for a long period of time.

You are welcome. The article I posted has changed. I do not think a new ID is a solution. Have you tried contacting iTunes Support for assistance. See the Apple Support articles below for contact information.

However since there’s still balance in my account, I can’t change my region so I think that method won’t solve my problem. Also, I checked my subscriptions and I dont find any of them are currently active; i’m not in a family sharing as well so me sharing purchases isn’t possible. So, is creating a new Apple ID the only solution to it? I don’t really want to put my remaining balance and information in it into waste though
