Apple TV App Dolby Vision on M1 MBP 16" – Correct Display Preset?

Hi, simple question: which display preset to choose if I want to watch a dolby vision mastered/authored film on the Apple TV app to be displayed the way it was intended to be shown by the filmmakers?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.0

Hi toybox,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you have a question about supported HDR formats with Dolby Vision on your MacBook Pro. We're happy to provide some information to assist.

"The built-in display and Apple Pro Display XDR support Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG. Dolby Vision and HLG are converted to HDR10 when viewed on other HDR10-compatible external displays." You can find this information and more details here: Play HDR video on Mac

If streaming, you'll also need a fast internet connection. You can view additional details and requirements in the section "Here's what you need to watch the highest-quality video available" from the article here: Find movies with 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, or Dolby Atmos in the Apple TV app

If you need further assistance, reach out to Apple Support directly.
