Siri works on both iPhone and iwatch but doesn’t execute on iwatch properly

Siri respond on both my iPhone and iwatch. However, my iwatch doesn’t do what siri says -for example hey siri open gate (on iwatch ) I get a message “ Allow or not Allow “ - I say Allow but I also have to touch the words Allow then Hit The word Do -Now, this doesn’t happen on my iPhone - I created shortcuts on my iPhone but somehow they don’t appear on the iwatch - Why is that ?? Thanks

Hello familyman1,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities and for reviewing the related article, Use Siri on all your Apple devices. We'd like to help with your Apple Watch.

We invite you to review the Apple Support article below. It explains what you can do with Siri on your Apple Watch, and what to do if Siri doesn't respond when expected:

Use Siri on your Apple Watch

As for running shortcuts, we believe the user guides below may provide you with additional details:

About actions in complicated shortcuts

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.

Hi, maybe I didn’t explain completely - The problem is that Siri is asking too many questions from my iwatch and also requires manual intervention to work properly - I’m driving so I shouldn’t have to take my eyes off the road to touch the watch for it to work properly - The same Siri command I use on iPhone should work on iwatch “ Open Gate “ that’s it - Siri does this perfectly on my iPhone. -I hope this makes it clearer - Thanks

familyman1,

Thanks for getting back in touch with us after reviewing the steps we shared above.

Has the "Open Gate" Apple Watch Siri shortcut ever run without additional input? We ask because some shortcuts may require manual input.

If feasible, you might also try reproducing this Siri shortcut on another Apple Watch. For instance, if a family member can run the same shortcut on their Apple Watch, that might provide you with additional clues as to what might be expected.

Have a great rest of your day or evening.
