QuickTime Video Recording Freezes
I'm a professor, so I often use Quicktime to record a lecture with the onboard camera on my MacBook Pro (2020) running Monterey 12.0.1.
Yesterday something happened that has occurred a few times before: the video froze during recording. However it did not freeze at the beginning or the end. It was intermittently a problem in the middle, so I had no idea there was an issue until I went to edit the footage. Due to pressing deadlines I couldn't re-record. Thankfully the audio was fine and I just used a photo with the audio.
The recordings were all relatively brief. The longest was 16 minutes. Of the five pieces I recorded, the glitch only happened with two of them. One common denominator in the ones that were affected: I used Word as my on-screen script. Could using Word while recording affect the video? If that is the problem, is there a work around?
Fixing this is critically important for my work. Insights appreciated.
