“iPhone storage almost full” bug

Hello. Does anyone know when Apple is going to fix the annoying “iPhone storage is almost full” bug? I have an iPhone 8 Plus on the latest iOS 15.2. I have 16GB of free space. I’ve had this storage message ever since I upgraded to iOS 15. It continued with 15.1 and it’s still here with 15.2. When I click on the message, it brings up the screen with more details and where I can select to “optimize storage” or “not now” but then it kicks me back to the previous (main settings) screen right away before I can click on either option…it basically crashes over and over.

Very frustrating.

Apple, please fix this bug. It has been around far too long.

I also had this problem is iPhone Xr when updating to iOS 15. I followed https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201263 to put my device in recovery mode and set it up again. This worked for me, I don't have these notifications anymore for the past 2 days and can finally use Mail and Whatsapp again. Be sure to backup first so you can quickly set up your iPhone afterwards again!

Apple is very aware and can’t do anything to fix it per the 3 reps I spoke to.

It’s not. I’ve had the update since it came out. Techs still can’t fix it. Due to my work and the apps I use, I won’t factory reset anymore .

I own an Iphone XR, the problem started when i updated to IOS 15.3.1.

i have actual used 39GB out of 64GB but still the notification prevents me from using the space i have!

fore restarts don’t work, and apple techs can’t figure it out either. Been there , tried that.

I have the notification again after 3 times factory reset + restore backup :(

I too am experiencing this issue

secondly with this IOS there is loss of audio output whether it is phone call or video/audio played
