Can't delete an email address

I click on the address in System Prefs > Internet Accounts and then click the "-" below the list and then select "Remove from all" (I have my mail synced on three computers, an iPhone, and iPad, and an Apple Watch). The address disappears from the list but approximately 5 seconds later, I get a notification that the "Mail Account Added" back. I don't know what's happening. Any suggestions?
